Central African Republic Peacebuilding Fund OverviewOverview | Approved Projects and Progress Updates | Reports The Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon declared on 8 January 2008 that the Central African Republic is eligible to receive assistance from the Peacebuilding Fund. The Peacebuilding Fund has allocated $10 million to support the Central African Republic PBF Priority Plan. Central African Republic PBF - Joint Steering CommitteeWith the country funding envelope confirmed, the review and approval of project activities is being conducted in Central African Republic (CAR) in a process co-managed by the Government of CAR and the United Nations Mission in CAR (BONUCA), who co-chair the CAR PBF Joint Steering Committee (JSC). The JSC has been established at the country level to serve as the decision-making body to review and approve detailed project submissions, within the scope of the priority plan, as well as ensure oversight of PBF implementation in the country.
